Course Description

DFD offer the basic one-day first aid course, this is the standard training recommended for workplace first aid providers. It’s also good for anybody who wants to be able to help during a medical emergency. Medical emergencies related to ill health or an accident can happen anywhere at any time, also this course will ensure you know what to do and helps your workplace to meet health and safety standards

This refresher training course is designed to equip you with the latest information and techniques. This course help you to update your knowledge and skills in order to maintain your confidence as an effective first aiders as well as provides revalidation for designated workplace first aiders

Course Description

This is progressive training for first aiders who already hold a valid first aid certificate. Pre-Hospital Emergency Care provides the knowledge and skills required to deliver immediate advanced first aid assistance in any situation. To ensure you gain the confidence to use resuscitation, CPR and extrication techniques. We’ll also make sure you know how to use common emergency care equipment, with a special focus on the first aid equipment at your workplace.

Course Description

DFD provide essential emergency training for electrical workers that required them to have CPR and first aid Knowledge and skills. This job is one of the highest risk that electrical shock can stop the heart beating properly and hence reduce performance of work.

The course has been designed to update your existing knowledge and skills which covers basic first aid topics. First aid topics are alternated every two years, so that if you attend this training course every two years you will cover different topics each time.

Course Description

DFD provide the course that teaches essential life-saving skills. PR is a life-saving technique that is used when someone’s heart has stopped. Some medical conditions, such as a severe heart attack, can cause the heart to stop. Other causes include drowning, electric shock, poisoning, overdose and serious injury. For CPR to be successful, it needs to be started as soon as possible after a person's heart stops.

FIRST AID NEEDS ASSESSMENT

DFD Decided to provide First Aid Needs Assessment in order to improve the services. Provided here is a guide to help assess and determine what training and how many First Aiders you will need, and where they should be located.

A FIRST AID NEEDS ASSESSMENT SHOULD CONSIDER:-
  • • The nature of the work, the hazards and risks The nature of the work force
  • • The organization’s history of accidents and illness
  • • The needs of travelling, remote and lone workers
  • • Work patterns such as shiftwork
  • • The distribution of the work force
  • • The remoteness of the site from emergency medical services Employees working on shared or multi-occupied sites Annual leave and other absences of First Aiders
  • • First Aid provision for non-employees
  • • The size of the organization

First Aid needs should be reviewed from time to time, particularly if you have operational changes in your work place. Records should be kept of incidents dealt with by your First Aiders to assist in this process.
